23rd October, 2007 - Work Day with Roger & Mick.
Sadly, it isn't too often that Roger & Mick are able to spend time up here at Speke, but it is very pleasant when they do. The day started bitterly cold but bright sunshine promised a very pleasant day, and we weren't disappointed.
![]() Mick and Roger Jobs for the day included removal of some wheels for inspection, a job organised by Brian Egan and one which, thanks to his friends at a Widnes based tyre company, was done quickly and at no cost! We are extremely grateful to them for this. With some corrosion found in a longeron in the rear fuselage section, it was decided to check the front section too, just in case. After emptying the forward baggage hold and pulling up the floor, the airframe appears to be in fairly good condition with nothing too worrying found down there.

Other members of the team didn't waste time getting stuck in either, David Lindsey continued his quest to rid CF of her old Invicta and Monarch paint, and Ken Foster, Dave Myles and Jon Howard started fitting some of the falsework to the port wing.
